What experience do you have?: 17 years ago my adventure began at some point i left the original game and I've been playing RsPs ever since mostly 718's, Staff position wise i have no experience but there's always room for knowledge and improvement. Why should we pick you instead of someone else?: I hold high renown in different ways i'd bring my fair share to the team in my own way, and i love to help around the lovely community we have. How much free time do you have?: A minimum of 4 hours but that could stretch up to 12 hours depending whenever i find a new job i'd stick to 4-6 hours a day.     Ataraxia Updates #23 - Araxxor and Vorago Rotations - New SoF items/pets - LMS Reward rework - Shop sell price for t70 items! [+] Full Vorago - Our Vorago had issues, so I outsourced a perfected version for Ataraxia. - You now have all 6 Vorago rotations: Ceiling collapse, Scopulus, Vitalis, Green bomb, Team split & The End - Hopefully this makes Vorago a bit more enjoyable and challenging. - Please notify us of any issues regarding Vorago and they will be fixed as soon as possible. [+] Full Araxxor - We now have fully working Araxxor. - Previously, we had to disable the Darkness path due to issues with Nulling. It has been disabled for so long and the Developers were unsure of what caused the issues. - So I decided to source the Full fight from someone else. - Araxxor now has 3 fully working Paths: Darkness, Minions & Acid. - Now you can finally branch out away from just Minions & Acid paths. - Please notify us of any issues ASAP regarding Araxxor. [+] Bug Fixes - Tess no longer drops as the tendril - Soothsayer can now be spoken to, checking your enrage, the enrage leaderboard and other options - Executioner's demise executing you randomly even without the perk is fixed - Seren Godbow now works, hasn't been needed but forgot to make it not kick people - Random occurrences where players were experiencing the negatives/positives of pet perks without even having them has been fixed - Telos stunning you without being able to avoid it as you should has been fixed - Golems will no longer lose aggro on Phase 5 of Telos - Golems health scaling has been fixed so they are killable on P5 - You will no longer get stuck in a constant animation of killing a golem during a Telos fight - Purple sweets can now be eaten properly - The Gem bag now works - Issues fixed with the Coal bag, it now works properly - Knights of Ardougne now have the proper attack stats - The Scroll of cleansing from Dung will no longer cause you to stop making potions - All dart/bolt contracts will now count for 15 actions instead of 10 I know a lot of people have been waiting for these Telos fixes for a while. I ensured they'd be fixed ASAP. Unfortunately, it just didn't work out that way. Someone brought up that it shouldn't have been released with these issues.. And I apologise. When setting the time-limit of the Telos release, these issues weren't known. And we were not notified by testers of them until 2-3 days before the release & At this time the Developer was busy.     Trust is earned.. You don't need a rank to show that you're trusted. If you're trusted, people will know it as you'll prove yourself within the community.. Adding a rank like this is kind of pointless when we have plenty of Supports. As it's basically just Support. I know some people want recognition for their efforts within the community, this rank isn't really going to change that. It just sounds like a massive waste of resources for a slight ego-boost for the few players who truly deserve the rank. As for the Gambling aspect for Middlemanning etc.. The Gambling is 100% safe and no middleman is required. Jaedmo

Miscellaneous Fixes - Fixed the add item method to 100% insure the player gets the item if their inventory is full (fixing herb box etc etc). - Fixed tormented demons weird text. - Fixed vote not giving players items if they dont have space in their inventory. - Fixed Auburys apprentice perk not working for rune pouches. - Fixed God Wars Dungeon altars. - Fixed filter chat mesages options not saving on logout. - The "Withdraw-to-bank" option on the trisk key bag will no longer reset when its contents are deposited - Bowstring will now be given as a possible reward from completing contracts - Skillchompas have been nerfed when Woodcutting (same as the Mining nerf) - You can now do ;;ltp to teleport to the last location you clicked on the Teleport Interface - Dragon platebody shards/parts are now worth 3M.     Staff Updates 7th August 2019 @C J has been promoted to Global Moderator CJ was promoted to Global moderator due to his valuable commitment to Ataraxia. He has shown that he is well capable of making decisions and is insanely knowledgeable of the game. Always willing to get on in a heartbeat should anyone need his help. Top bloke. Congratulations on the promotion. @imagine dat has been promoted to Game Moderator Imagine was promoted to moderator after hours and hours of slaving as a Support. Since that time he has improved a lot and has a great knowledge of the server. He consistently showed us that he is putting in heaps of effort to better himself as a person and as a staff member. Congratulations on the promotion. @Krittur has been promoted to Server Support After seeing Krittur had applied we already knew he was someone we were interested in. He is always online and helping whenever he can, and now with Support he can project that even more. I see a lot of potential with him. Congratulation on the successful application. @kevinnothell has resigned from Server Support Kevin was promoted alongside Krittur but unfortunately decided after a short ride he wasn't as keen anymore. We respected his decision to resign and appreciate all the help he has given us in the space he was there. You were very valued in the team 🙂 Best of luck in future endeavours. @E36 has resigned from Global Moderator This was inevitably going to happen at some point. Anyone that knows E personally knows he is an insanely fun, enjoyable person to talk to and get to know. I fucking love this guy. No homo. He has been by my side on here for years, from regular players in Duel Arena to side by side as staff. We witnessed the destruction of version 1 due to his hands, and yet still kept him around. I remember being on call with him for hours on end with Uzi as his kids harassed him while we trolled and messed around. Unfortunately he has run into life issues and no longer can find the time to continue being staff on the server. He is by no means quitting! Not under my watch 😛 You've done a lot for this team, and server. A lot more then people know. Much love and goodluck with real life 💗 @Witt has resigned from Game Moderator Unfortunately Witt has resigned from Moderator due to not feeling motivated to log in anymore. He decided that he would rather step down and open a position rather then wait for the flare to get back into it. He put in a lot of hours and work for us which, of course, is super appreciated. Wish you the best outside of Atar. We'd welcome you back with open arms ❤️ @Debuff was demoted from Server Support While Debuff's promotion was short-lived, he did help whenever he was online. We appreciate all that you did. Unfortunately, we decided that Debuff wasn't fit for the purpose we were after at the time.     Hey guys so this is the complete list of updates and fixes involving the website so far, from beginning to present. It not much at all, very small list compared to what needs to be done, but the amount of work gone into each small detail is nuts, especially since I've done it from the ground up with virtually no help, making everything custom and tailored to Ataraxia. I know this isn't even the full list and I'm missing out a lot. However, I hope you enjoy seeing what I have done. I'm happy with how much has progressed over the course of a few months. Updates: - Setup new dedicated webserver + configured entirely new environment to run on from scratch - Setup RAID storage (we have redudant storage to recover from any data loss basically) - Wrote a new automated backup system from scratch for both gameserver and webserver. These run every 12 hours - Installed Invision and updated to latest version - Implemented new registration form for forums - New forum theme implemented (Thank you Titanium) - Setup failover network (if webserver / gameserver networks goes down we have another network to use as a failsafe to minimise downtime) - 3 layer DDoS protection configured - Firewall setup - Network optimised - Setup a new system for Developers & Admins to interact with gameserver and webserver if I'm not around - Hiscores added - IPMI interface configured (If either server takes critical failures and are failing to boot or anything, I can still get into contact with the machine and perform wizadry) - New database structure implemented - Vote rewards changed from 1 VP per site to 2 VP per site as we only have 3 sites (Again, thank you Armar) Fixes: - Fixed forum registration error "you are not permitted to register here" > This was caused due to Invisions spam email blacklisting, if your email flags as spam it instead goes to moderation for review and approval. - Fixed specific forum posts unable to load - Fixed voting - Fixed voting issue where you couldn't claim due to spaces in your name (Thank you Armar) - Fixed the multitude of reasons causing the system to hang and site to go down (this took hours to fix so im not going to go into details) - Fixed CAPTCHA issue & added questions to registrations - Spambots now get insta-banned on forums - Fixed normal members able to access restricted content on main site (2595 hax) - Fixed Hiscore indexing to update faster upon user logout from in-game - ALL user & groups have had permissions for forums reworked and fixed - Two-factor authentication enabled (you can set this up from your account settings on forum) - If you are given a warning or punishment on the forums, you are forced to read and acknowledge the situation before being able to post again (so you can't cry your way out of your own decisions) - Fixed routing issues with webserver - Fixed packet loss issue with gameserver > Some people were complaining that they kept dcing but not everyone. Found we had some packet issues which has now been fixed! Anything happens after this, most like your end. - Fixed SSL > Website was not redirecting to HTTPS on every request. Has been fixed. - Fixed a handful of security issues with the servers - Fixed our verification emails not working > This also allows password recovery to be available without needing to wait for staff - Fixed Hiscore crash when searching for non-existent player > This would cause the webpage to 400, fixed by tweaking the config ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ The credits here will have to go to Myself and @armark1ng mainly. Without Armar helping me edit the source for Hiscores and Voting you guys wouldn't have had those features. So a massive thank you my man, you're a legend. Props to Titanium as well for being a lad on helping me with the qualms I had in terms of the website itself and getting stuff done for us. Crazy to think when I came here ~3-4 years ago starting as a junior support tech, barely knowing anything about servers or networks etc, turning to a lead systems administrator setting up full on corporate infrastructures IRL full time and for Ataraxia. I've learned so much on the way and a lot of it Ataraxia gave me so thank you all for sticking with us, a big thank you. Much love from me and the staff team ❤️ - Many more things to come!

    Ataraxia Updates #28 - Account Pins - Quality of Life changes - Bug Fixes - Evil Tree perk - Updates teasers!!! [+] General Changes - You can now destroy your evil tree instance by right clicking the portal or leaving your instance after collecting your rewards - Entling can now change colours - Blade of Nymora/Avaryss are now rarer from Twin furies - Twin furies HM now deal more damage on auto attacks - Spawns of Dung monsters doubled in every room - You can now do Gargoyles in Platinum Zone instances - All players can use ;;ports to enter Ports - Supports/Moderators now have a Yell colour - Soul wars server announcement has been removed as the minigame is inactive and non-functional - You can now have 10 Presets instead of just 5 - The following potions have been added and drinkable from flask: Super Saradomin brew, Regular/Super/Supreme/ Ranging potion, Magic potion, Combat potion, Agility potion, Super zamorak brew & Every antipoison - You can now use a toolbelted pickaxe vs the Dills in Fight kiln - You can now type ;;hidepets to hide every player's pets (and your own) - The Collection log now displays the amount of an item you've received, not just that you've unlocked it - Added Papaya fruit drops to Sophanem Slayer Dungeon, Evil trees and Skilling contracts - You can now do construction with "Quick-ids", meaning you can press 1, 2, 3, 4 to build the object relevant to the number! - LMS games no longer show the Rarity of the loot, people didn't attend lower standing ones, the rewards for all will be reworked soon - You can now claim the Evil title through ;;titles, completing 100 Kills on an Evil tree unlocks this - You can now "Repair-all" at Bob, rather than repairing your items one by one, Bob will detect all of the items and Repair them at the same time - Adrenaline potions now have an effect timer before you can use another one again - ;;g1-4 now has 1.3x experience to match the Diamond zone bonus - You can no longer use Quick chat in the Friends chat - You no longer require Completing floor 50 for Completionist cape (t) - Divination teleports now display the Level alongside the Wisp Teleport [+] Account Pins - Due to the issues with Players losing their items and accounts to hackers abusing the fact they haven't changed password, we've decided to add a Pin system - The Pin system will come into action when you log on your account directly after the update, you must type a Pin, this pin is then saved to your account. - When logging in from a different IP/Mac address (from the original pin location), you will be required to enter the pin before your account is playable - If you forget your pin, you may change it and recover it within 3 days. Alternatively, you may ask a Staff member to help you reset it. - This is all for the security of your accounts, like 25% of you used Maclock, so Lare has worked on this. - It is compulsory but don't worry, you'll get used to it and it'll help keep all of your accounts secure. [+] Evil Tree Perk - Was meant to be added alongside the Evil tree release - "Tree Hunter" - $10 : - 25% More XP from Evil Tree related actions. - 2x Better chance at getting evil herbs, bark, and seeds - Free banking when fighting the Evil Tree - Free teleports to the Evil Tree [+] Bug Fixes - Evil tree should no longer randomly disappear - Evil tree instances will no longer delete when you log out - Special energy will no longer drain into the negatives - Dreadnips are no longer usable in New-old Dung - Rune pouch can now use all spells with runes in the pouch, before a few didn't work - Superior ports gear is now repairable as it should be - When switching gamemode you no longer lose your Tool-belted Tools - Guards in Varrock are now Pickpocketable - You can now eat Kebabs - Fixed issue with a Shop overriding existing ones - You can no longer attack Kuradal's Slayer monsters off-task - Kalphite King minions will now disappear on death of KK - You can no longer enter LMS on a brand new acc..     Ataraxia Updates #44 - New Home/Donor Area - Uzi's Perk Shop Update - Hybrid Tokens Be sure to change your Home through ;;settings to access new home! [+] General Changes - Farming contracts will now work when collecting from Divine locations - Tarromins have been added to Herb boxes - Bronze/Iron bars, Normal/oak logs, Raw shrimp, anchovies, sardines, herring & Tin/Copper ore added to Grand Exchange unlimited items for Skilling contracts - You can now cook food by pressing "Use" on a fire - Bob has been added to ;;bossportals - Donor Zone teleports have been changed to the new Home area - All old Home/Donor zone areas have had NPCs/Objects removed - Reworked the Donor store & Uzi's perk shop - Pet perks now give $5 when redeemed rather than the amount donated when donated for - You can now choose your Task with the Perslaysion perk! - Aura effects no longer work in LMS and will not reset your cooldown - Cleaning cloth now costs 5 instead of 15 Vote points [+] Rare Item Token Store - The new shop contains everything Spring! [+] Hybrid Tokens Hybrid tokens are a new currency which can be obtained from certain bosses & activities and used to purchase T85 hybrid sets from the Hybrid armor shop. Hybrid tokens can be obtained from the following bosses & activites: Token drops are separate from the boss / activity drop table. Example: 1:35 = 1 in 35 chance of receiving drop. • Nex - 1:180 • Vorago - 1:35 • Araxxor - 1:60 • Queen Black Dragon - 1:350 • The Magister - 1:480 • Telos the Warden: - 1:75 • Nex: Angel of Death - 1:125 • Kalphite King - 1:180 • Barrows: Rise of the Six - 1:250 • Temple of Aminishi (Elite dungeon one) - 1:35 Why so rare? Hybrid tokens are intentionally very rare, as these armor sets will essentially be the new best-in-slot non-degradeable armor. The sets are non-degradeable, provide a health buff & when a full set is equip, all of your outgoing damage is buffed by 10%. The odds for each boss & activity have been calculated based on the average time each activity/boss takes to complete. You should treat obtaining these sets as a long term goal to work towards while doing general pvm/activities, because completeing one set of armor is expected to take 200-300 hours of pvm, regardless of the boss or activity. To add to this, both the tokens and armor are untradeable, so you must earn everything yourself. Vanguard: Trickster: Battle-mage: [+] New Home & Donor Zone Changes - This project has been under Development since October, 2018... Huge Credit to Xenthium for being the lead on it! - The idea of this new Home area was to bring the entire community together. Too many years were spent with the Donors hidden away in their respective areas skilling away. - This area has it all combined, and a nice little hub in the middle for everyone to hang out! - This home will be defaulted, however, you will all need to manually set your home to it from the current one! - It is still in the early stages, we want to make this as good as it can be for everyone, if you hate it, tell us. Navigate to the Discord Channel: #New-home-suggestions - The centre Fountain will provide you with: Bank, Grand Exchange, Teleports around the area & Boss portals & Best of all, the new Fountain of Goodwill!     recently i started my road to 1b magic on expert ironman mode at corrupted scorpions and i decided to keep track of the loot with a milestone at every 30k kills and keep it updated here on the forums with screenshots i started at 230m magic xp and within the first 30k feathers used i managed to get to 514m magic xp on the way i manage to get 120hp aswell 30k kc loot 60k kc loot magic xp after 60k kc is 777m on expert ironman mode with a end kc off: 86175 i finally reached 1b magic xp on expert ironman, giving me a total loot:

    First and foremost, every single one of these members are deserving of votes. We, as a community, all too often forget about all the time these lads sacrifice for us, as well as the effort they put into assisting us to make sure Ataraxia is as enjoyable as it is. And for that, I thank you all. Based on my personal player-to-staff interactions this past month, Sintricate and Snowie both stand out to me. Had I had the option to multi vote, that's what I would've done. Unfortunately, I'm going to have to pick one. @Snowie is the man that's going to get my vote for the month of January.     - The following areas are now multi: Celestial dragons Crystal shapshifters. Kalgerion demons. - The bug with the crystal chest sometimes not taking your key has been fixed. - Seren godbow special attack now uses 60% energy (down from 75%). - Increased the hit probability for the Seren godbow special attack. - Drain rates for prayers have been corrected to RS3 rates. - Global prayer modifier implemented to adjust the drain rate of all prayers. Currently configured to drain 50% slower than RS3. Combat changes: - 2h weaponry now attacks 1 tick slower. - Damage bonuses for magic have been reduced by 15%. - Dual wielding damage has been increased by 10%. We originally had a global 15% damage nerf applied on top of these changes, however after listening to community feedback we've decided to remove this. Being able to represent the staff team on Ataraxia has always been meaningful to me, it is not something to be taken for granted. A place within the staff team puts me in a position to push further evolution of the server. As a Support I would placed in a mediator position to ensure clear accountability and communication for both the staff team and the player base. I want to be Support so that i can represent Ataraxia and it's community, and have deep contribution towards its future development.. both in content and player base. What experience do you have? Before the reset of the server, I was an active player moderator and before a support before that. I have been a support for this server twice, initially resigning from the role due to unfortunate real life circumstances, and the second time I was demoted from the role of a player moderator as the server reset was initiated. (however i was inactive at the time due to work commitments (to get the job i'm currently in). I have a deep knowledge of the game and It's always something i'm looking to improve. Why should you pick me over someone else? I feel that my timezone is in an effective place and I understand the responsibility of the role. I believe I am generally more active than the average player, and I am always willing to go out of my way to assist anyone who needs it. I work hard to be patient, empathetic and accountable as a player, and I can definitely transfer these skills directly into a support role. How much free time do you have? At the moment I am reducing my extra curricular commitments outside of the workplace, I am a musician and play occasional gigs on Friday and Saturday nights (1-2 times a month), and currently work five five-hour days a week (Monday -Friday) and I am happy to advise the exact times privately. Outside of this time frame, unless I am doing personal things (family events, gym etc...) I have the ability to get online and play. During my work hours I will have access to the forums and discord at virtually any time, so in reality I am almost 100% accessible unless I am asleep. Other Notes: I always work hard to create strong bonds with each member of the community, and to contradict what I noted on my previous application..     Hybird tokens are a rare currency that can be exchanged for T85 armor. You can receive them from the following bosses & activities: Example: 1:35 = 1 in 35 chance of receiving drop. Nex - 1:180 Telos - 1:75 Vorago - 1:35 Araxxor - 1:60 Legiones - 1:600 Nex: AoD - 1:125 Pest control - 1:150 Kalphite King - 1:180 The Magister - 1:600 Corporeal Beast 1:450 Queen Black Dragon - 1:350 Barrows: Rise of the Six - 1:250 Temple of Aminishi (ed1) - 1:35 Hybrid token drops are separate from the npc/activity drop table and are not influenced by any drop rate modifiers. Drop rates are configured to take ~250 hours of gameplay to complete one set from any of the above sources. There are 3 sets to complete, one for each combat type: Vanguard (melee): Trickster (ranged): Battle-mage (magic): nxt flex Helm (5 tokens): +2% damage, +297 armor, +32 hp Body (7 tokens): +3% damage, +341 armor, +64 hp Legs (7 tokens): +3% damage, +326 armor, +48 hp Gloves (3 tokens): +1% damage, +68 armor Boots (3 tokens): +1% damage, +68 armor Full set (25 tokens): +10% damage, +1100 armor, +144 hp More Information: Hybrid tokens and the armor pieces are untradeable.     Most of you are probably aware of our upcoming revision update to 907, and with that I'd like to ask what small, niche or otherwise standalone items you would like to see made functional and implemented while larger, more time consuming content is in development. So, what items fit that category? Something like the Amulet of the Forsaken for example, it's obtained through the already functional Barrows minigame and doesn't require any new area or boss to be also made functional in addition to it. To sum it up, really any item which either fits into existing content or was added to RS3 on its own (not part of a larger update that isn't currently supported on Ataraxia). You may list quest items despite them being part of a larger content update. Including a link to the item's wiki page and/or any other details is greatly appreciated. Replies pertaining to items that were added to RS3 as part of a larger content update will be ignored, you can expect to see those items added as part of the entire content update they were included with. Note: Cluescroll rewards will be noted down, but don't expect to see them until a later date as we may be doing an entire cluescroll & luck rework sometime in the future. *If an item you would like to see added has already been posted, please upvote the reply so we have an indication as to what items are more requested.*

    Yeah quite a few people have problems with voting on a few sites and it's a weird thing on the sites end not ours so I'm not really sure what can be done about it. If you're talking about the voting guide I made though I'm glad it could be somewhat helpful to you! It's weird that Top G is causing you issues though as like Rikku said I've honestly never had a problem with that one haha 😅.

    I think I actually found a fix for the rune server issue as I did what the guide says. Instead of opening rune server after you vote on it wait 5 seconds then open up mopar. When you open mopar click the tab where it shows you the site to vote on and rune server will be green and it will count your vote so you get the point. Mopar is a little odd if u wait 15 min after it can be voted on the second time that day it normally work and you won't get the you have voted in the last 12 hours message. Also some player may be reloading before the vote is accounted for because it is being slow and that can cause the issue also. I appreciate the reply and I totally see your point of view I just think that arena top 100 is a better choice as i have never herd anyone having a problem with it and that's been over 7+ years.

    Big ol' Poll thread here.. Please answer accordingly, and post below why you chose what you did. Gambling We've polled Gambling a few times, but this is different. I think we've evolved from what we were a few months/years ago. The Staff team and I have had multiple meetings in which we talked about Gambling.. It's been mostly positive responses however, the obvious few issues. I've decided to Poll this again as decided in the latest Staff meeting.. As I feel it'd add a bit more appeal.. It's hard as a 718 revision to appeal to the players of OSRS servers and the live game.. You know and I know we have an awesome server, great donation structure and an amazing Development team. We deserve more, I'm sure every RSPS owner says that.. But I truly feel Ataraxia should be in the Top 10 of every Toplist. People see 718s and instantly ignore it, I think if we have an eye catching feature which people know.. People love.. People hate.. We'd get more people attempting to play. And this would be Dicing/Flower Poker. Dicing Now personally, I'm a huge fan of Dicing. It's exciting, fully chance based and overall probably the best chance you'll get at a full 50/50 chance. Dicing has already been coded by Jordan.. It works like this: Two players approach the NPC at ;;gamble while in the "Dicing" friends chat. They then put up x-amount of Spirit Shards they then roll the dice, highest roll wins. This will obviously expand into Best of 3, 5 etc.. There will never be 1 person hosts 55x2/60x2 as it's unbalanced. If we add dicing I want it to be 100% 50/50. It's completely scam/dupe proof and works perfectly. Flower Poker Flower Poker is fairly self explanatory. The only difference to dicing is that it's not currently coded. I imagine we'll be adding it similar to Dicing how it's automated and scam proof. Flower Poker is extremely fun and enjoyable to watch even if you don't participate.. Such as OMG 10b pot and you slowly watch the Flowers reveal themselves. It'd be fairly easy to add and I'd love it to be added. Flower Poker you'd be able to Gamble items. However, dicing is Cash/Shards only. And we'll tax it. I don't want you to instantly just vote no on it because it's Gambling. The whole reason Gambling is frowned upon is because it makes people quit. But we currently have that anyway. People quit because they're bored. Then they go and box it at the dodgy PoH Ring. Gambling is completely optional, and of course some people can't resist it and will lose their bank and quit. However, I think the traffic we'd receive for considering this on such a high revision server would outweigh those who quit if they lost their banks. We have a fairly forgiving Economy where you can make a lot of money doing one thing.. So i don't think the loss of ones bank would be as much as a hit. Rather than on another server where you buy items for $ and gamble them then lose. -------- Costly Deaths Someone brought this up to me today, and it reminded me that we need to poll it. Right now, Players can PvM without fear of Death (unless you're a HCIM btw). You lose no items and can consistently go back. The biggest loss probably being your Overload/bonfire timers. So I ask you guys the question: What should you lose on Death? So please answer in the Poll above and of course if you have other ideas, post them below. Personally, I think the best option would be valuing armors by their "Tier" and making players Pay coins for that. However, I don't have much idea how the economy is fairing 24/7. So alternatively, deaths remove charges from armours that degrade/break armour that you need to repair at Bob. Answer above. -------- Wilderness Questions So the Wilderness has been disabled since the re-launch. There's been a lot of talk amongst the Staff team with how we implement this.. And there were a few different options. Add Wilderness and Disable powerful/over-powered weapons Add Wilderness and make all weapons do half the damage it normally does in Wild Now then that adds a new question. Should we look into adding more content to the Wilderness in attempt to revamp it. Or is it not worth the time and energy. I feel like as we're a 718, the Wilderness is fairly stagnant however, with additions of content it could be vibrant, but it'd have to be extremely good for that to be the case. People wouldn't risk losing their hard earned items just to go to the Wilderness for lower-tier gear. Please answer all of the Poll questions above and post your responses below. For the Wilderness/Drop questions, the highest votes will pass. Gambling requires 51% Yes' to pass. Normally it'd be 60-70% to pass, but I think this is the best move for Ataraxia, however, if the majority doesn't agree, I don't want to insult you guys, the loyal players. Whether that be helping new players, or returning players who need a slight nudge in the right direction to get started, helping out with hosting fun events, and just generally making sure everybody here has a great time, and knows they are able to come to me or any of the staff team for assistance. What experience do you have?: I have been playing RS since roughly 07-08, I've learnt a lot of things in my time on the game, varying from game knowledge, to how some people may react to specific things, this has gave me an ability to have a deep understanding knowledge of the game, and also the ability to empathise with other players when they are in need of aid, and be able to help solve their queries as quickly and swiftly as possible. I've also spent many years during that time period on RSPS, being staff on a select few, which has gave me the pointers I needed to be able to bring my best self to the table for Ataraxia. Providing a professional and friendly service at all times. Why should we pick you instead of someone else?: I feel you should pick me over someone else, because I am always striving to ensure that players with questions/queries are answered and have an amazing time here, I also see myself as an easily approachable person, and easy to get along with, which I feel is a huge factor when you are looking for an in-game staff member. Somebody who is out-going and easily approachable by newer players, able to provide them with the knowledge they need. How much free time do you have?: I have roughly 10-12 hours per day of free time. This is subject to change in September when I begin my university course - But i will still have 6+ hours and all-day on weekends. Other notes: Please note, I have been active in-game over a week longer than I made my forum account. As i had issues first making my forum account therefore it was delayed, I hope this does not affect my application, however I understand if it does, and will not be deterred to try again at a later date. It is best to hit the Dill once and immediately move back into a safe-spot and await the Dill's Hp Bar to disappear before hitting it again; continue this process until the armour shatters. The Dill also has a stomp attack that cannot be defended against (it can even hit through the use of an Invulnerability Crystal). Using a prayer/curse near this monster while in combat could result in more frequent stomp attacks. TokHaar-Xil Combat Level 146 Attack Style Range Listed Weakness Crush (pray range (if needed) unless there are mages attacking you as well) Extra Information pray Accordingly if need be TokHaar-Mej Combat Level 146 Attack Style Mage/Melee Listed Weakness Range - specifically bolts. Make certain to remain out of melee distance. Extra Information Though it's a mage-first monster, it's melee attack can hit quite well and though it is a magic-based creature, using magic attacks will work. TokHaar-Ket Combat Level 180 Attack Style Melee Listed Weakness Magic - specifically Water spells. Extra Information If needed, using Soul Split/Blood spells to heal off of them is suggested. Pray Melee if need be TokHaar-Tok-Xil Combat Level 152 Attack Style Range/Melee Listed Weakness Crush. Pray range and melee out. Quick kill. Extra Information This is the only monster that is easier to kill with melee as opposed to using magic alone. Pray Range if need be TokHaar-Yt-Mejkot Combat Level 154 Attack Style Melee Suggested Kill Method Magic - specifically Water Spells. Extra Information If needed, using Soul Split/Blood spells to heal off of them is suggested. Pray Melee if need be TokHaar-Ket-Zek Combat Level 156 Attack Style Mage/Melee Suggested Kill Method Range - specifically bolts. (Ascension > Onyx (e) > Dragon (e) Extra Information If a Ket-Zek is in a wave and is not able to be safe-spotted for any reason, Though it is a magic-based creature, using magic attacks works quite well. Pray Mage, Flick Between Soulsplit and Reflect Magic TokHaar-Jad Combat Level 158 Attack Style Range/Mage/Melee Listed Weakness None. Jad can be taken down with any combat form you prefer. Extra Information Just like the Fight Caves Jad, it is possible to trap Tokhaar Jads behind the high rocks providing a moment to collect yourself, heal up, etc. For those who had a difficult time with the Fight Caves Jad, have no fear - Jads in the Fight kiln do not summon healers. It is simply a one-on-one match with each Jad. Only difference now is that you have to kill him five times throughout 36 waves to make it through to the boss for a chance at the Tokhaar-Kal. Har-Aken Combat Level 160 Attack Style Range/Mage/Melee Listed Weakness Head - Magic. Range Tentacles - Slash attacks. Magic Tentacles - Thrown items. Extra Information The head cannot damage you; it is what you are meant to attack in order to kill the boss. While you do not technically have to fight the tentacles, it does help to clear a corner out for you to reduce overall damage and is also a good opportunity to heal yourself through soul split or blood spells. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Lava Crystals Throughout the Fight Kiln, various crystals will appear in the center of the area which can aid you in various ways. The following are the crystals and some information about them. Invulnerability Crystal The Invulnerability Crystal will, as one may assume, make you invulnerable to all attacks for approximately fifteen seconds. It is advised to collect all three of these. These spawn upon completion of Waves 1, 13, and 25. Restoration Crystal The Restoration Crystal will restore both Prayer and Life points back to their maxed state. It is advised to collect all three of these. These spawn upon completion of Waves 3, 15, and 27. Magic Crystal The Magic Crystal boosts Magic by 50% for 3.5 minutes, however it greatly reduces Defense. While not really a necessity for higher levels, one may hold onto a few for the boss fight. These spawn upon completion of Waves 5, 17, and 29. Ranged Crystal Like the Magic Crystal, the Ranged Crystal boosts Range by 50% for 3.5 minutes, however it greatly reduces Defense. Not really a necessity for higher levels, though one may hold onto one for Wave 33(four TokHaar-Ket-Zek). These spawn upon completion of Waves 7, 19, and 31. Strength Crystal Like the two before it, the Strength Crystal boosts Strength by 50% for 3.5 minutes, however it greatly reduces Defense. Not really a necessity for anyone with decent Fight Kiln melee stats/gear. These spawn upon completion of Waves 9, 21, and 33. Constitution Crystal The Constitution Crystal boosts one's max hit-point level to 50% above base level. Using doses of Saradomin Brew or even the Unicorn Healing Scrolls will heal one's hp up to 50% higher. It is advised to collect all three of these as they can be of great help during the Boss wave. These spawn upon completion of Waves 11, 23, and 35. ____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Step-By-Step Wave Instruction Xil Attack The first ten waves are mainly focused on Range-based attacks. Range Protect/Deflect will be your main focus throughout these waves. Melee will be your main form of attack with a fair bit of Range as well. Wave One Monsters In Wave Two TokHaar-Xil, One TokHaar-Tok-Xil, Two TokHaar-Hur The red circle in the image above indicates where one should stand at the start of the wave. This wave matches you up with your first Ket-Zek. Simple to range out while wearing gano + praying mage protect/deflect, this monster can be saved for last. Wave Nine Monsters In Wave Six TokHaar-Tok-Xil The red circle in the image above indicates where one should stand at the start of the wave. The wall east of you is a high wall - nothing can range/mage over it. It is advised to take no more than one step outside this spot to ensure the monsters behind the west wall cannot hit you. Completion of this wave provides you with a Strength Crystal. I don't really know of a reason to keep this crystal, however, one may do so if they wish. Wave Ten Monsters In Wave One TokHaar-Tok-Xil, One TokHaar-Jad (SW) The red circle in the image above indicates where one should stand at the start of the wave. Once the Tok-Xil steps into place at the rock, simply melee him out and quickly return to your starting position. Now, it's just like Jad in the Fight Caves. Step out (make sure to be out of melee range) and switch prayers based on his attacks. If needed, one can step back into starting position to collect or heal oneself. Upon completion of this wave, there will be a cut-scene to usher in the next set of waves. Our Mej Wish To Test You The next ten waves are mainly focused on Mage-based attacks. Mage Protect/Deflect will be your main focus throughout these waves. Range will be your main form of attack with a bit of Melee as well. Wave Eleven Monsters In Wave Four TokHaar-Mej The red circle in the image above indicates where one should stand at the start of the wave. The wall east of you is a high wall - nothing can range/mage over it. It is advised to take no more than one step outside this spot to ensure the monsters behind the west wall cannot hit you. Completion of this wave provides you with a Constitution Crystal. It is advised to hold onto these as they can be of tremendous help during the boss fight. Wave Twelve Monsters In Wave Two TokHaar-Tok-Xil, Two TokHaar-Mej The red circle in the image above indicates where one should stand at the start of the wave. Once both monsters take their places on the opposite side of the rock, you're free to take them out in the order of your choosing. Upon completion of this wave, there will be a cut-scene to usher in the next set of waves. Out Ket Are Coming The next ten waves are mainly focused on Melee-based attacks. Mage Protect/Deflect will be your main focus throughout these waves. Mage/Range will be your main forms of attack with a fair bit of Melee as well. Wave Twenty-One Monsters In Wave Twelve TokHaar-Hur The red circle in the image above indicates where one should stand at the start of the wave. After around three seconds, one should begin to follow the path outlined in yellow, effectively trapping all monsters on the opposite side of the Eastern Wall It is now possible to safe-spot mage these off (perhaps using Soul Split or Blood spells to heal up if needed). Completion of this wave provides you with your second Strength Crystal. Again, I don't really know of a reason to keep this crystal, however, one may do so if they wish. Wave Twenty-Six Monsters In Wave One TokHaar-Tok-Xil, Two TokHaar-Ket-Zek (NE and SE), Two TokHaar-Yt-MejKot The red circle in the image above indicates where one should stand at the start of the wave. Melee out the first ranger, then follow the path outlined in yellow back to the north side of the center wall. From this point on, you should be able to finish off the wave with only one monster attacking you at a time. Wave Twenty-Seven Monsters In Wave One TokHaar-Tok-Xil, Two TokHaar-Ket, Two TokHaar-Yt-MejKot The red circle in the image above indicates where one should stand at the start of the wave. Melee out the first ranger, then follow the path outlined in yellow to the south side of the center wall. This should trap the Ket-Zek as well as the meleers, thus, one can simply mage out the melees, then range out the Ket-Zek. Completion of this wave provides you with your final Restoration Crystal. Again, it is advised to hold onto these for later use. Wave Twenty-Eight Monsters In Wave Six TokHaar-Ket-Dill, One TokHaar-Ket-Zek (NW) The red circle in the image above indicates where one could stand at the start of the wave. The blue lines are the invisible beginning/ending grounds for each Dill. The green lines are the route you will take to begin the wave (will be explained below). For example: If you're standing on the west side of the east blue line, the NE Dill will not attack you, however, you're now in the territory of the NW Dill. At the beginning of the wave, turn Mage Protect/Deflect on and stand at the indicated space in the image above. 1) Wait until the NE Dill attacks you, then run north (on the east side of the rock wall) - this may or may not trap the Dill on the wall's edge. 2) From there, run to the NE corner (this will bring the Ket-Zek closer to where you will end up). 3) Then run SW as indicated in the image above and wait for the NE Dill to attack you. 4) Now, return to the northernmost space on the east side of the rock - the Dill should be trapped and the Ket-Zek within ranging distance. Once you take out the Ket-Zek, your prayer can be turned off and now begins the tedious process of taking out the Dills. To try and keep minimal the damage one will take from these monsters, the trick is to hit them once with a pickaxe, then immediately step away. Once the hp bar has gone, do the same thing - continuous process until the armour shatters. *If your familiar attacks and keeps the hp bar active; simply wait ~4 seconds from your last attack and strike it again* Next comes the NW Dill. The NE blue line indicates the territorial line for the NE and NW Dills. You want to cross the blue line (stand on the west side of it) to attract the attention of the NW Dill. Once he gets close enough to you, step back behind it. Once he's close enough - strike him with a pickaxe and step back. Again, continue the process until the armour shatters and take him out. Same for the final two sets of Dills. The W blue line is the territorial line for the SW Dills. Do the same as above. Finally comes the SE Dills. The SW blue line is the same for them as the blue lines were for the others. Follow the same process until the wave is complete. *Titan & Pack-yaks attacks CAN be used to hit through the armour of Dills* Thanks Vise for letting me know of yaks, did not know. Wave Twenty-Nine Monsters In Wave Six TokHaar-Yt-MejKot The red circle in the image above indicates where one should stand at the start of the wave. From there, follow the path outlined in yellow to trap all six monsters behind the wall. Use this time to Soul Split/Blood spell heal if needed, otherwise they're easy targets to mage out. Completion of this wave provides you with your final Magic Crystal. Again, one may hold onto these specifically for the boss fight. Wave Thirty Monsters In Wave One TokHaar-Jad (SW), Three TokHaar-Yt-MejKot The red circle in the image above indicates where one should stand at the start of the wave. Use Melee-Protect/Deflect or Soul Split to mage out the NE + NW monsters. Now take out Jad, leaving the final melee to allow for a bit of Soul Split/Blood spell healing after. Upon completion of this wave, there will be a cut-scene to usher in the next set of waves. Kill My Brothers Before The Lava Consumes You The next three waves each focus on one specific attack style. 31 - Range 32 - Melee 33 - Mage Wave Thirty-One Monsters In Wave Four TokHaar-Tok-Xil The red circles in the image above indicate where one could stand at the start of the wave. Simply Protect/Deflect Range and kill them off one at a time. Completion of this wave provides you with your final Range Crystal Again, one may hold onto these for use during waves containing Ket-Zeks. Wave Thirty-Two Monsters In Wave Four TokHaar-Yt-MejKot The red circle in the image above indicates where one could stand at the start of the wave. Protect/Deflect Melee/Soul Split and mage them off one at a time. Wave Thirty-Three Monsters In Wave Four TokHaar-Ket-Zek (Good wave to make use of a Range Crystal) The red circle in the image above indicates where one could stand at the start of the wave. Once the southern Ket-Zeks are trapped behind the center wall, move one space east, then run one space west of your starting position. You should now be able to range the NW Ket-Zek while still having trapped the two southern ones. Once the NW Zek is gone, you should have only one attacking you at a time from here on out. Move north a bit and range out the NE Ket-Zek. Then take out the SE and finally the SW. Completion of this wave provides you with your final Strength Crystal. Again, I don't really know of a reason to keep this crystal, however, one may do so if they wish. Upon completion of this wave, there will be a cut-scene to usher in the next set of waves. We Remember Their Shapes The final three waves prepare you for some good fashioned tactic fighting, all three of which include at least one TokHaar-Jad. Wave Thirty-Four Monsters In Wave One TokHaar-Tok-Xil, One TokHaar-Jad (SE), One TokHaar-Yt-Mej-Kot The red circle in the image above indicates where one should stand at the start of the wave. Once the Jad is trapped behind the rock, move one space east, forcing the ranger to move north. Take out the meleer followed by the ranger. Now it's just you and Jad again. Wave Thirty-Five Monsters In Wave One TokHaar-Tok-Xil, One TokHaar-Ket-Zek (SE), One TokHaar-Jad (NE), One TokHaar-Yt-MejKot The red circle in the image above indicates where one should stand at the start of the wave. Right before the wave starts, use an Invulnerability Crystal and take out the ranger as quickly as possible. Once the ranger is down, follow the path outlined in yellow to the space west of the center rock and take out the meleer. Once the meleer is down, put on your range set-up, take ONE step straight west, and long-range the Ket-Zek. Once the Ket-Zek is down, it's you and Jad once more. There are technically three other ways of doing this wave as outlined in the video below SPOILER: Completion of this wave provides you with your final Constitution Crystal. Again, it is advised to hold onto these as they can be of tremendous help during the boss fight. Wave Thirty-Six Monsters In Wave Two TokHaar-Jad (SW and SE) The red circle in the image above indicates where one should stand at the start of the wave. Once both Jads take their respective positions on the south side of the center wall, simple take take one out, then the other. Upon completion of this wave, there will be a cut-scene to usher in the final wave. One Final Challenge This is the wave you've been waiting for - the Boss wave Clawing your way through tentacle after tentacle of which use mage and range (melee if you're within distance). Can you endure this chaotic mass of attacks and leave victorious? (Using a Magic Crystal at the start of this wave can be of tremendous help) Wave Thirty-Seven Monsters In Wave One Har-Aken, Many Range-Tentacles, Many Mage-Tentacles The best place to remain on this wave is along the wall (specifically the area outlined in red). You want to try and find a corner with as few tentacles as possible. While one need not attack the tentacles, it does pass the time and allow for one to carve out a corner where they're free of attacks. You want to range the Magic tentacles and melee the Range tentacles. Once Har-Aken (the head) pops up, switch over to your mage offense (perhaps activate a magic crystal if you wish) and begin the attack process. NOTE - Har-Aken will NEVER spawn north. Har-Aken will pop up approximately every 45-75 seconds so be on the move to make sure you don't miss him.     I've seen a lot of millitary-esque rule enforcement teams on RSPS and it is always some authoritative power trip that ruins the community. I don't see that on here. It seems like staff takes things up privately, because I never see any publicly announced issues. While order is certainly necessary, its nice to see it upheld respectfully. If someone is getting a little too irate, a simple "Don't be a dick" is usually all it takes anyway, right? We're all mostly adults here, right? Super stoked for the reboot! You have a good crew keeping this place going smoothly.
